It's Time for Change...

Living out the past year's tragedies, I sit back and just wonder what will it take to bring about change? We are living in a world where too many turn a blind eye to what is really going on right in front of our eyes. genocide of our young black males at the hands of the people who took an oath to protect and serve ( the police) also known as the KKK!

The Enemy
Once again a policeman gets away with murder by simply stating five words " I feared for my Life!" Now if this grown as man feared for his life what do you think the 18 year old felt?
My spirit was stirred up during the Trayvon Martin case when that scum  I won't give him the energy of writing his name was set to go free but at least he was made to have to face the court. Now Micheal Brown killer goes free also.
Some say these young men brought this on themselves of course I disagree and after hearing witnesses and researching these killings I will continue to disagree with them. Now every white person will use this defense" They feared for their lives." Black people have been harboring that kind of fear for centuries, welcome to the fear.
We are now convinced that it's open season for hunting and killing blacks, police are continuing to misuse their authority and because they have a badge that they hide behind their evil deeds are justified.

No Unity
We were given an opportunity following the verdict in the Micheal Brown case to come together for a cause and make a difference by Protesting Black Friday and there were many all over the United States who supported this movement but as I stroll my timeline on FB I saw people, black people who were out shopping and spending money! Where was the Unity and Support, many knowingly and unknowingly just relinquished the only power that they possessed by going out spending money. The weak minded who thought they were really getting a sale not knowing that they actually purchased it for the price that it would originally be sold for. Yes the items are priced to make you think you are getting this great deal!  I grieve for my brothers and sisters who are caught up in the idea of the American Dream only because the "American Dream" never included us! We are simply seen as animals, savages, ignorant and undeserving people, what we acquire through our lives is only a crumb from the pie which whites have the privilege of tasting. We will never succeed in making a positive change until we all come together for the same cause. I know some may say that their lives are too busy to get involved in something like that. Then there are others who thinks that this kind of treatment is only toward a certain kind of people within the culture.
It doesn't make a difference!
Let's not forget the other group " As long as it's not me or my family." Now those they get under my skin because you are basically saying that until it involves you or your family is the only time you would step up and seek justice, not cute.
No one unless they have lost a child can relate to the pains of the mothers who lost their unarmed sons at the hands of a police officer.
Time for Change
We have to start to fight and speak out on the injustices that are slowly taking the black men that the system don't already have locked up. I have seen comments about the people of Ferguson looting and people speaking about how embarrassed they were. The people of Ferguson are tired, they are hurting and they are in fear of their lives. The fact of the matter is the government has been looting us for years but no one complains about that! Racism as much as many people want to deny still exists and with all the unjustified killings by white Americans and white police officers they are getting bolder and bolder and getting away with it. They are hiding behind the laws, so now we know we must first work on changing the laws. We must work with local and state officials to get these laws changed and create new laws to address what's going on now. We must talk to our children and let them know that these people don't care about their lives. It may be uncomfortable but it's necessary!
We must redirect our ways and our children ways of thinking, we must introduce them to positive music and television the media is used to distract and corrupt the minds of our young people, it influences them in a way we may never understand.
You can start by doing small things to show your protest and your support for the cause, we are stronger and much more powerful than we know, we are no longer the minority but the Majority! We have a Voice! We have rights whether or not white America wants to acknowledge that! We built this country!

Save our Children!

I am still fired up and motivated to assist in keep our Young Black men alive! After the Trayvon Martin's case, smdh.... I was determined to make a difference! We are responsible for what we instill in our children both boys and girls. Have a hear to heart with your children and inform them that black children, males especially are "Open Season." There are people out there who carries evil and hatred inside their hearts and heads. There are psychopaths who does not care if your child lives or dies. Simply put they don't care! Our children needs to have constructive things to do with that extra time besides hanging in the streets! It is our job to instill inside of the morals and values and common sense.... As I listen to the verdict my first thought was, "This verdict is going to allow people to kill our kids and then holler self-defense." No sooner more black youths were gunned down, "Stand Your Ground Law" need a serious revision.. There should be other alternatives made to protect our youths! Some of my friends agreed and some didn't, I lost some and I gained others either way we are all entitled to our opinions I just don't have to agree! So my question to you is " What are you going to do to make a difference?" I'm not talking about the young men who want to walk around shooting each other and people just for the hell of it, because if they commit the crime I feel they should do the time. Do we turn our backs on them? No we reach out to them and try to impress on them a better way of living... Support! Support! support! Is the key... Motivate to Inspire and take an interest in our youths both the good and the bad... We can make a difference!!

It's been a Minute....Ok Maybe even longer!

As you may or may not know I am a Survivor of domestic Abuse... Now the shit has hit the fan and my abuser aka former Girlfriend is freaking out because the state has picked up the charges. I know that the state at times have to protect the victim from the abuser and also from themselves emotions are running and love is not erased so easily. Still I am angry because before any of this happened I begged and pleaded with her to stop! Go get some counseling do something to stop this! She never did until it was too late! It's amazing how a person wants you to help them get out of a mess that they could have avoided getting into..It's in God's Hands now!

Domestic Abuse..SLEEPING WITH THE ENEMY..PART 1

Well I am back and this time I am naked....Truth has to be told! I am 41 year old woman, who just so happens to be an author of Erotica books but my book also touch on issues like Domestic Abuse.. I am a victim of Domestic abuse and have been for the last year or so...why hmmmm I have no idea why I put up with it... Why I allowed it I am still working on figuring that part of it out! Did I sign up for it? No... Some friends and family know of this but not my immediate family...sisters and mom. You see I am the strong one, who holds everything together... I rise above all obstacles. So I thought at first I was convinced that her being possessive and jealous was cute! That was until she put her hands on me, a lot of people who know me knows that when I was younger that if someone hit me I was headed to Tulane and Broad...no blinking!! I grew older wanted someone to call my own, she wanted a punching bag! You may say ..why didn't you call the police..I did but they didn't take my situation serious...2 women in a relationship one is younger , one older...You get the picture. I lost more than my self respect while with her, I LOST ME!! Friends, Family ....everything! In the end she was unfaithful and instead of walking away and leaving me alone she continued to come around break windows and bring drama to my door... I never told anyone because of embarrassment, she should have been embarrassed to treat me the way she did... but she wasn't see the abuser always place blame on someone else..I hit you because you made me mad or you made me do it! Abusers are really cowards!! They are people who are out of control in their own lives, unhappy, unsatisfied just miserable. I woke up and remembered who I am and whose I am .....Found my strength and put my self esteem back in tact oh yes she tried to break me down but what she didn't know is the fact that I am a survivor and what does not kill me only makes me stronger.... I know that there was a big age difference but I felt maybe she is MATURE for her age after all she has a baby now.... I went thru a lot but sometimes you have to go thru something to get to something.... Now I've gone thru that for the first and last time.. She's not worth me going to jail!
